Strength calculator

RPE Load Calculator

Start from a desired RPE or RIR and reps, then calculate the bar load.

RPE Load Calculator

Calculate the exact weight to hit your target RPE

What this does

This is the inverse of the 1RM calculator. It tells you exactly what weight to load onto the bar to hit a specific RPE target for your training session.

Your current or estimated one-rep max

Example Use Case

Your estimated 1RM is 315 lbs. Your program prescribes a work set of 10 reps at 3 RIR.

  • • 10 reps at 3 RIR = 78.1% of 1RM (from chart)
  • • Target Weight = 315 × 0.781
  • Load 246.0 lbs on the bar

💡 Pro Tip

Use this calculator at the start of each training session to know exactly what weight to use for your prescribed sets. It takes the guesswork out of autoregulated training!
